Seasons of Life
Spring suddenly came,
I learned how to talk, I learned my own name.
I made some good friends, lost a few too.
I had not done much, I had so much to do.
The Free Mind
You can lock a body
Count days,
Name me by a number
But a mind that dreams,
Can’t be caged
Sing
Teach me Oh Sirens your songs
which lures the sea farers a’long
to attend you in a watery home
never to leave you alone
Trust
Due to the betrayal of others, will I struggle to trust?
Some say! Trust is an orchid,
beautiful but delicate,
requiring ideal conditions in order to thrive,
without those conditions it dies.
Free Minds
Being 38 years in a system of corruption, chaos, and confusions,
Sometimes put me in a state of delirium and sheer delusions.
Can’t believe in some of the crazy stuff I’ve seen behind these prison walls,
Reality sets in with the calm moments of the watch’n
the homies on the handball courts hitt’n balls.
