Trust

By MM

Due to the betrayal of others, will I struggle to trust?
Some say! Trust is an orchid,
beautiful but delicate,
requiring ideal conditions in order to thrive,
without those conditions it dies.
How do we trust a system that confines
in conditions that hinders our thriving?
So many beautiful gifts being restricted from
thriving to reach their full potential.
Wasted for too many years in the confinements of
these walls and barbed wire fences,
from reaching their full potential.
If this system is designed for rehabilitation!
Why are these beautiful talents being
restricted from thriving to reach their full potential?
Why do you wish to silence our voices and
choose to kill our talents?
We will survive, we will thrive!
Through the appreciation and love by others for our talents
Through this love and appreciation, you can never
silence nor kill our talents!
