Free Minds

By RA

Being 38 years in a system of corruption, chaos, and confusions,

Sometimes put me in a state of delirium and sheer delusions.
Can’t believe in some of the crazy stuff I’ve seen behind these prison walls,

Reality sets in with the calm moments of the watch’n
the homies on the handball courts hitt’n balls.

Thoughts of the past of me and the fam. On the gold course rack’n in tee times,
While savoring the warm weather as the birds chirp canvasing the tree vines

Bringing my mind back to the present, where I’m sitting on my bunk writing
This special poem to the book club and writing workshop called: *Free Minds*
