You Beautiful People

By TT

Hatred to humility.
I can forgive humanity.
What you evoke is beauty…

Hopeless to optimistic,
Treatment to my heart’s sickness,
These people don’t hate me…

Doubtful to certain,
Love conquers all evil.
I truly adore…
You beautiful People.

This poem is the light at the end of the tunnel. People deserve love.

This poem is very inspirational. It is very well written.

This was such a simple but powerful message. I especially loved your opening line of “hatred to humility”. Deep down our projected anger is just hiding our pain. Also, the juxtaposition and contrast within each line evokes a lot of emotion in such a small about of words. I hope to see you write more!

    TT,

Thank you for your positivity! I love the contrasts you make with hatred and humility, hopeless and optimistic. Keep writing!

I love how this poem starts off with a darker atmosphere and has a spark of light in the first verse with the use of the word beauty in contrast to hatred. This can be translated as to how certain people try to find the light in the darkness which is always something that can lead us in the right direction. This theme and tone of darkness compared to light is repeated throughout the poem as every verse is opened with contrasting words, this is a great idea because it can reflect how dealing with struggles is something that most people face, some more than others and is something that can create a link between the author and the readers. Keep up the good work, this poem is very inspiring and can be something many people can learn from.

This poem is very touching and realistic. I like the last line and how it wraps up so nicely. No matter what happens there are always people that view you for you. It’s hard to be yourself because people view you differently, but make the promise to yourself to be true to you. Evil is just jealous of the love that’s why love always wins. You got this and remember the best is yet to come!

  6. Annika on September 22, 2022 at 11:16 AM

I love how optimistic this poem is towards humanity. Most people have given up on humanity, but you seem to give everyone the benefit of the doubt – which is nice for a change. You seem to be a very warm and positive person and it shows through this piece.

  7. Sa on September 24, 2022 at 9:57 AM

Hi! Your poem conveys a very powerful deeper message. That is the art of poetry. You bring in so many feelings whether it’s hatred, optimism, love, etc., and solidly align them from start to end. Ending with “you beautiful people” is a warm ending to such a powerful poem.

  8. Liz on September 24, 2022 at 12:35 PM

This poem gives me some hope. It’s a touch of reality and a touch of longful wanting. I liked how the last line is the title of the poem which is full circle! Make sure to keep on writing!

While this was a rather short piece, it truly spoke volumes. I have always been a firm believer that love conquers all evil in the world and reading this brought that outlook back to the forefront of my mind, reminding me how important it is to live in love. An influencer I have watched a lot uses the saying “If you lead with love, you’ll leave with love,” constantly and I think this poem is a beautiful reflection of that same idea. What a beautiful way of looking at the world and the circumstances with which you have been provided. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece.

  10. jill on September 25, 2022 at 3:11 PM

I think this poem is very powerful. The first and the last sentence really ties the message altogether. Although people tend to be hateful everyone deserves to be loved and appreciated no matter what. The optimism and high hopes of this poem will truly go a long way with all of your kind words. Keep up the amazing work!

  11. Halie on September 28, 2022 at 3:22 PM

    a. Love does conquer all evil! You are very observant which is a great quality to have. It sounds so graceful and the last line just summed all of it up. Great job!

  12. Emily on October 2, 2022 at 8:39 PM

This is such a nice poem. It’s not as heavy and dark as other poems. However, you made just as much of a positive impact as other writers. You are on the right track in life. Evil deeds exist in this world but so do good deeds. Positivity is the best answer.

  13. Oshane on October 2, 2022 at 11:12 PM

Such deep reasoning. Thanks for reminding us that love conquers evil. I support this. A soft answer turns away wrath but grievous words stir up anger. Many times if we don’t have something good to say or comment it is better we keep silent. Always strive to say something positive to each other as you may never know what bad of a day someone is having.

  14. Josie Kelly on October 3, 2022 at 8:29 PM

I love this poem! It shows that there will be good soon! Even during the hard times it is important to look for the good in the situation or the future. This poem portrays such an important message. You did a great job!

  15. Kayla MacLaren on October 6, 2022 at 10:06 AM

This poem shows that there is beauty in people and in humanity. If you turn on the news all you see is all the terrible things people do and all the things going wrong in our world right now, but I think this poem tells people that there are still good people out in the world and there’s a lot of them! There may be bad people, but the amount of good people out ways them immensely. I love the line you wrote “Love conquers all evil” and I believe in that as well. Love is a powerful feeling, and everyone craves it, and I think that love conquers evil because evil can be strong, but it’s not common, but everyone wants and gives off love.

  16. Alexis on October 9, 2022 at 7:17 PM

    TT,

I love the raw and true feelings of life you give and show throughout your poem. In society, it is not always easy to see the beautiful things around us when we are low. The difference between your negative thoughts transformed into positive ones is a certain sign of strength, and you should be proud to see people and life in a more beautiful light than before. Your poem is a great read for those who may not be able to see those things right now, and relatable to those who have overcome!

  17. Ainsley on October 17, 2022 at 12:43 AM

    Hi TT,
The message you shared with us in this poem is very powerful. The ability to forgive people for their wrongdoings is special, and I think a lot of people in today’s world either don’t hold or don’t practice this ability often. I really liked the way that the beginning of the poem began dark and spoke of the evils of humanity in the line “Hatred to humility”, and the poem ended with “I truly adore…/ You beautiful people”. Life is not all good and bad, it’s a mix of both, sometimes one heavier than the other, and I think this poem speaks to that. Thank you for sharing,
    Ainsley

This poem is very brief but to the point. It shares such a beautiful message. During these times today, a lot of people are going through so many hardships and everyone deserves to have that love!

  19. KC on October 27, 2022 at 5:20 PM

    TT,

Thank you for this beautiful poem! The ability to change and grow is such a blessing. I can tell you inspire others that have not learned how to hope, love, and forgive. Keep writing!

  20. Conor Thompson on October 30, 2022 at 6:16 PM

Hey TT I hope all is doing well, I really like your poem. Why I picked it is the way is that humanity should be. I don’t think we expect people to be so horrible to each other and also kind to people. But with all of the hate that the world is getting its amazing when someone is kind enough to show us the slightest bit of compassion.

  21. Mackenzie Curry on November 8, 2022 at 1:01 PM

    Hi TT,
I really enjoyed your poem! Even though the poem is short it is really sweet and I definitely understand exactly what you are saying in this poem. I love how you are so hopeful about the human race. Even though you are in a negative place right now your mind set is positive. I really love that and I hope you continue to keep that mind set if after you are released.

  22. Abigail Walsh on November 15, 2022 at 12:56 PM

This poem gives hope to its reader and is beautifully written. It is very optimistic towards people and their humility. The poem shows that humanity creates beauty. This optimism then heals a sickness showing hope. The last line is also very positive and inspiring to others. I love how this positivity contrasts with the negative and a unique outlook.

  23. Nicholas on November 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM

This poem brings hope and love to the hopeless and loveless. Where there is darkness, there is light. But patience and a changed mindset are the only abilities we can choose to change about ourselves to bring about a better life.

  24. Al on November 27, 2022 at 12:23 PM

Thank you for sharing your poem! Your positivity is so admirable! The concept on humility, hopeless and optimistic was so inspirational. It was a wonderful message!

  25. Pratham on November 27, 2022 at 7:19 PM

This poem is concise but beautiful. It shows that there is always light at the end of the tunnel and not to lose hope in humanity. At the heart, we are all good people.

  26. Mike on November 28, 2022 at 9:55 PM

TT this poem really stands out. You brought forth a lot in a few lines. It was simple and powerful. Keep up the writing.

  27. Jules on December 1, 2022 at 12:23 PM

I love this poem and think you have an amazing outlook on life. Many times, prisoners focus on the negative and only see the bad in situations, but you seem to be doing the exact opposite. You are extremely optimistic and I think that is great.

  28. Eleni on February 3, 2023 at 10:22 PM

This poem is so optimistic! The contrasts used in this poem show how a person’s mindset and outlook on life can change little by little. I think the first contrast creates a light and hopeful vibe for the reader, and sets the tone well for the rest of the poem. I also love how short this poem is because it really goes to show how you do not need to say a lot and use complex vocabulary to express yourself and evoke powerful memories from your reader. Great work!

  29. Annika on February 9, 2023 at 6:11 PM

This really exudes the love one may have for mankind no matter how many ups and downs we go through and no matter how messed up humanity may be. It’s like true love trumps everything and shines through all the evil and darkness.

  30. Nicole on February 12, 2023 at 3:35 PM

    Hi TT
I want to start off by saying the use of contradicting words with one another like hopeless with optimistic and doubtful to certain shows the real raw nature of humans. It does not come off at criticism to humans but a praise in how we live showing positivity and hope for everyone.

  31. Mackenzie Curry on February 12, 2023 at 9:11 PM

    Hi!
I think your interpretation of how you believe redemption works. I love how positive you are and how much love you have in your heart. There should be way more people who think like you do. I think all people have the opportunity to be beautiful inside and out, but it is up to them if they really use that opportunity. I really hope that wherever you are you use this thought process every day. Great Job!

  32. Oshane on February 14, 2023 at 7:05 PM

    Hi TT,

    Thank you for spreading positivity.

I agree with your powerful message that we can all move from a place of hatred and hopelessness to one of forgiveness, optimism, and confidence.

  33. Laura on February 20, 2023 at 9:24 PM

    Hi TT,
I really enjoyed reading your poem. I liked the simplicity of it, while still conveying a powerful message. You gave a hopeful outlook and were very positive. It’s hard to find this kind of view, as everyone sees the negative. I really enjoyed your different approach. Thank you for sharing.

  34. Mitchell on February 22, 2023 at 9:55 AM

TT, Even though this poem is small and doesn’t physically say much, it really does say a lot, You describe what seems to be a rare event that is seen a lot less now in this time, there is not a lot of expression of love and it is good to explain that love is greater than evil and will overcome it.

  35. Matthew Handley on February 26, 2023 at 8:59 PM

Hello! I really love your poem and think it is beautiful. It really highlights that kindness and giving people a voice that others can listen to can really open up someone’s heart. It seems like you have been given this voice and your perspective on the world has made a full 180. I love the hope that this poem provides, and I thank you for the work. Wishing you all the best, and hoping to read more from you in the future!

  36. Bryan on March 4, 2023 at 10:31 AM

This poem is concise and hopeful. It’s important to stay positive. All too often it’s easy to get wrapped up in negativity. Choosing to focus on the positive instead of the negative is admirable.

  37. PH on March 21, 2023 at 10:00 PM

Hatred to laughingstock or stalk. I can just forgive humanity. What you produce is beauty that you don’t even see or notice. You are hopeless but that translates to optimism. You people are the treatment and cure to my heart’s sickness. These people don’t hate me to the bone. Love conquers all evil and so I love and adore you beautiful people. I’m willing to give you all another chance. What a great message!

  38. Evelyn on March 22, 2023 at 2:37 PM

The changes throughout this poem are beautiful. I love the way the poem starts out darker and goes to a more happy light. Your poem describes a certain view on how individuals see each other, and I love that about this. It gives an insight for people who may not see things the way others do, and helps individuals feel what others see every day. Thank you for your poem.

  39. Dulce on April 1, 2023 at 11:40 PM

Hi TT, I love the positivity and optimism that this poem presents. You were able to capture an inspirational message in a small number of stanzas. It is important for people to keep their head up high and be positive. Keep up the good work, this poem is very inspiring and can be something many people can learn from.

  40. Gillian on April 2, 2023 at 2:58 PM

HI TT, I really enjoyed reading this as I feel like I could feel your emotions through the computer screen. I feel like this poem really brings everyone and humanity together in a way, as it tells the challenges of life, but in the end, we are one and the same and should treat each other with kindness and respect.

  41. Paige on April 13, 2023 at 9:11 PM

Your poem is short but impactful, and it carries a powerful message of transformation and hope. The progression from hatred to humility, from hopelessness to optimism, and from doubt to certainty is a testament to the power of forgiveness, love, and a positive outlook on life. Keep writing and sharing your words of hope and positivity with the world, as they have the power to touch and uplift many lives. Well done!

  42. Hannah on April 15, 2023 at 4:30 PM

this poem is so cute. it’s nice to see that other people can stay positive while there is so much going on in the world. and while a person may not be happy all the time this poem is like an allotted minute to feel at peace and to be positive. I also really like the “doubtful to certain” bit of the poem; much like life I go from doubtful to certain in all kinds of situations.

  43. Bella L on May 9, 2023 at 7:28 PM

I love the positive, hopeful tones of this poem! It is important to know that love never dies and that you can always cling to it in times of need, and this poem really expressed that safety in a joyful and reflective way. Although it was short, it was still so insightful.

  44. YM on May 10, 2023 at 2:27 PM

    Hi TT!
I really enjoyed this poem because it shows growth throughout a person’s life and the acceptance of being happier because of the realization of clarity that people don’t hate you. Its a lovely poem and how warm it is. I like that it goes full circle, and from hating humanity to loving humanity.
