Poem: “To My Friend”
Hey Hey Hey Hey
How are you doing?
You know that I am doing okay
You know just being me and chilling
And trying to do better
And you are the best.

This is really sweet. I’m glad you’re doing okay and that you care so much for your friend, good friends are so important. Please keep writing! I’d like to read more.
I love this little poem! It’s short and sweet, and your use of vernacular makes it sound like a genuine, spoken conversation from one person to another. The last two lines are especially eye-grabbing, and your comparison of yourself to your friend as someone who is an amazing person, the kind of person you want to accompany as well as the kind of person you want to become, is surprisingly profound for such a simple poem. I hope you showed this poem to the person you wrote it for. I’m sure it would warm their heart as much as it did mine!
I really enjoyed this poem as it is simple but has a nice message behind it! To me, it shows that you should check up on your friends and let them know you are doing too. Sometimes we get so caught up in life and don’t get time to check up on and appreciate our friends. Great job!
Awww so cute, friendship is key and can be the best motivation there is. Love it!
