Poem: “Strong”

Strong

Strong people make life go on
And some people live nice and some got the right price
Rich or poor, people always want more even if their heart is open and sore
But that’s life and it’s what people adore.

I thought the title of this poem was very fitting!
Your rhyme scheming was done exceptionally well.

In my personal experience, I’d have to agree. People are or at least seem to be hardwired to want more. But it makes you wonder if it’s truly hard wiring or the society we’ve been raised in that conditions is that way?

    Great writing and thank you

    Hi,
I really like the simplicity in this poem. I think it demonstrates an important life lesson. Everyone wishes for something in life no matter if it has a price or not. I like how you connected each line with a rhyme. Keep fighting!

    All the best,
    Sarah

Hey! I love your message in this poem and how you effectively allow the audience to see this through the short and simple wording! It is so true in this time of the world where it seems like everyone still yearns for for something more whether they have nothing or everything! Great poem!

    Hello,

“It’s what people adore.” Wow. Your ability to point out one unifying desire in the human condition speaks volumes. I appreciate the method you used in this poem to demonstrate your thoughts – the rhyming, short phrases, simple wording. And yet the message was deep! Keep writing.

    Best,
    EOS

The rhyming in the poem flows really well. I enjoyed reading this poem. I agree with the line “strong people make life go on.” This quote is very powerful and has a positive view of life. Keep up the good work and keep staying strong!

“People always want more” – so true! Even if everyone was rich, everyone would still want more. This world is run by strong people and conspiracists truly believe the richest people run the world! Especially in the U.S, we have created an economy where everyone is trying to get as much money as possible so children grow up feeling like they need to get rich which can cause false expectations.

Great writing and if it helps, keep going! I wish you the best and thanks for sharing!

I like how short and simple this poem was! The line that stood out to me was the line “Rich or poor, people always want more even if their heart is open and sore.” I think this is important to recognize because it shows how even if someone has everything, they still want more and more. On the flip side, some people do not have a lot so they want what others have because they cant have it themselves. I think this teaches a valuable lesson of being appreciative for the things you have because others might not. Great job!

The title of your poem fits the writing perfectly. It was super simple and a great read. It flows well and I really enjoyed reading what you had to write.

I really liked the rhyme scheme you have throughout this poem! I think it was very clever to rhyme “sore” with “adore”. My favorite line is “Rich or poor, people always want more”. I liked this because it shows that no matter how much someone has, they will always want more.

I like the rhyme scheme a lot. There’s so many ideas here I think you could keep writing more about each of them and I hope you do
