Love Lost
If there’s no love there, how can love be lost?
They say you can’t buy love but you will pay a cost
Maybe long endeavors
Through the slow pain, heartache
And all the stormy weathers
Would you think twice about the love you once thought was right
Which right turns to left
And your highs become lows
Friends become foes
When love becomes bold
Cuz friends start to hate on what you got
Tellin’ you what it is when it’s not
Now you got that flower
She loves me, she loves me not
So you rush back to the agony when the love is off
So if you don’t have love
Its cuz you left it alone
Cuz love is never lost
It’s just waiting for you to come home

This poem is great! I love that Love is put in a different perspective and in this poem it feels so positive even when you haven’t found it. Keep writing!!
Dear Poet,
I was reading your poem, “Love Lost,” and I thought it was very interesting. It made me think about love and what being in love means. I like how you explain how friends start to hate what you’ve got. My favorite part of the poem is the last line. It’s true that you never lose love but people seem to turn away from it. I like how it rhymes in places and it may be nice if you rhymed more. I think that the part about you can’t buy love but it still costs you is very accurate and interesting. I like the poem as a whole and would like to read more things you write.

For the Poet of “Love Lost”:
There’s definitely a lot of truth in your words. You see the world at a wider angle and keep a perspective on what you think love really is and what it means. The last line was pretty awesome, because it went through with the flow. The feeling of agony, pain, and realization rang throughout your writing, and it sorta felt like you were keeping it real, and letting people know what your opinion is. I gotta agree with it. Keep up the awesome work, man.

Dear Poet,
“Now you got that flower, she loves me, she loves me not”, was an amazing line. I had a flashback to picking petals off a flower saying that, he love me, he loves me not. I think that was a great line to include in your poem. You had great flow in this poem and it was a joy to read. I also really like the way you ended the poem, because at first it seemed like why bother with love and you ended it with, “cuz love is never lost, its just waiting for you to come home”. It was a wonderful end to the poem. Keep up the amazing writing.
