I Want To Be Loved
By CL
I want to be loved
Not no fake love
I want to be loved
Not for what I got
But for who I am
I want to be loved,
Honored, Cherished, and
Respected in a
Respectable way
I just want people to
Love me for who I am
I don’t want that I’m
Obligated love because
We are kin
I want genuine love
For who I am
Love to me is
Loyalty over everything

This poem was inspiring and deep I liked I want to be loved, Not for what I got, But for who I am this is a really good poem good job.
I love the way how this is romantic this shows love everywhere I just don’t know how to describe it.
I think the small details in this poem, the truth hidden between the lines, make this poem as beautiful as it is. The simple fact of hiding the word “love” in the last line speaks volumes about what love truly is.
I like how they finished the poem with a sentence and letters bolded to make it say “love”
I agree people should be loved for who they are not what they have in life.
I really enjoyed reading this poem. More specifically, I loved your use of capitalization on the final line. I felt as if your use of capitalizing the letters “LOVE” emphasized to the reader the ways in which “Love” lies within loyalty. I think that is a super important idea, and you captured that perfectly.
I liked your poem, I Want to be Loved. Love is all that matters when you get to the bottom of everything. We all want to be loved for who we are, not what we do, not even what we say. To genuinely love something and be loved is the ultimate form of respect. I hope you get the love that you deserve.

Hi there,
I like the honestly and straightforwardness of your poem. I also like that you repeat “for who I am”. I think this reinforces the idea that organic, authentic love is what’s sought for in the poem. I think this is a common desire you betrayed very well! For your last verse, I think you can add “virtually” before “everything” and bold the ‘v’ so it can spell out love.

Hi CL,
Great job! This poem is touching. I can relate to wanting to be loved. I am sure that many other people feel this way too. Love is a feeling that is unmatched. In my opinion, unconditional love can make you feel like you have superpowers. I love how you defined what love is to you. Many people consider love to be unwavering loyalty. I agree that love is “Loyalty over everything.”
This was absolutely breathtaking. Love conquers all! I resonate with this poem because I am currently in a season of trying to find genuine, authentic love. Keep up the good work!
The emotions that you captured in this poem in heartwarming. Having capitalizations in really supports the poem ideas. I like how you defined what love is and then you also talked about wanting genuine love which I think everyone does that is the biggest thing we could wish for. Thank you for your thoughtful poem.
I love this poem, and it made me feel connected to it as I feel the same way. I believe that love is the most powerful emotion and thing we have in this world, and this poem spoke numbers. “I want to be loved, not for what I got but for who I am.”. This line really spoke to me, and it is something that speaks for anyone as we have nothing to show but ourselves. To be loved authentically and thoroughly, need not change anything about who we are, is the purest form of love we could ask for. This poem is powerful, and I’ve always thought the same for most of my life and to this day. As you said it, “love to me is loyalty over everything”, and no matter who we are we should always be able to have love in our lives. Thank you for writing this, and I hope you continue to pursue this passion of yours in poetry.
I really enjoyed this poem! It was very touching and had a very overarching theme of the feeling to be loved. This could be related to by many. I really liked the emphasis as well, as it added emphasis on the earning to be loved by the author.
Your poem beautifully expresses the deep desire for genuine love and authenticity. It powerfully conveys the longing for love based on true connection and respect rather than material possessions or obligatory ties. The yearning for loyalty and sincere affection shines through each line, capturing the essence of longing for love that is pure and unadulterated by external factors. The longing for love that is “honored, cherished, and respected in a respectable way” echoes the universal desire for profound and meaningful connections with others. Thank you for sharing such poignant and heartfelt sentiments.
This is such an amazing work! I share this want of being loved fully, unconditionally, and as I am! I love your use of highlighting the letters in the last line in order to spell out love! I am glad to see someone that shares the same feeling as I! Thank you so much for sharing!
Great poem. I think everyone should be loved in some way no matter who you are or what you did. Keep writing you are not alone and you are loved.
I really liked this poem. I think that the way that you emphazise that you want to be loved for being you is a huge point. You shouldn’t have to fake who you are just to be loved by someone. I also like how this poem was short and to the point but also very powerful. My favorite line of this poem is the last line because love is ultamiely loyality, and I love how you bolded the letters to spell out love I thought that was really unique.
I love this poem! you capture the instinctual need for love that many people experience so well, and put your own creative spin on it. The use of repetition is very fitting in this case, as this poem is describing such a nagging and present feeling. The use of bold letters in the last line helps the readers end on a note of finality, and leaves them with the overarching theme of your poem. Overall, this is a well crafted and beautiful poem, that strikes a strong cord with the readers.
