Here’s a Day
Get up, take my girl to Starbuck’s around 9:00 am
Get a coffee, newspaper, and walk down the street to Au Bon Pan, and get a muffin
Talk and kiss my girl and tell her how much I love her
Leave in the smack out Audi R8
Hang around the house talking until 12:00
That’s a wrap.

That is the life….keep it real.
Nice words! The title is great, and the simplicity of the poem is right on. It feels really clean, quiet, calm – a little lonely too, but mostly just chill. Any old day. Right on.

Thank you for sharing this! Sometimes the simple things can bring us such joy. I hope that we never take days like these for granted. Keep writing!
