You Can’t Judge Me
By DJ
You got me all wrong
I’m not a bad person
My looks can’t tell my actions
My choice of words
Doesn’t mean I don’t have a good vocabulary
You can’t judge me
You can’t take my kindness for weakness
You don’t know me
You can’t hold me back
I refuse to prove you right
I’ve tried so hard to change my life
You can’t judge me

wow…so simple yet deep..
DJ, Your writing is very honest and pure. I like the convincing argument you make about why people cannot judge you. I encourage you to continue writing to express your thoughts on paper and share your insights with others. One of my favorite lines is: “You can’t take my kindness for weakness.” This shows that you are not afraid to be true to yourself and others by showing your kind side. Keep up the good work and pour out your thoughts on paper!
This poem is very touching and important to me because I always think people care about what I look like, but they are probably thinking the same thing. Everyone judges a book by its cover, it’s almost impossible not to because that’s the first thing you see. You have to open up the book and understand where it’s coming from and what its intentions are. You got this and remember the best is yet to come!
