Surrounded/Rodeado

By LV

Surrounded by concrete walls.
Surrounded by an immense feeling of solitude.
Surrounded by concrete walls that don’t distance me from reality.
Surrounded by one-thousand-and-one dreams – that are kept away in prison cells.

Surrounded by concrete walls.
Surrounded by an immense feeling of solitude; that attacks my thoughts.
Surrounded by concrete walls, surrounded by a strange feeling that starts playing inside my head.
Surrounded by concrete walls, where you only hear the voice of solitude; that sings to my heart to the slow beat of a tormented heart.
We keep on walking through the valley of solitude.

Surrounded by concrete walls.
Surrounded by one-thousand-and-one problems.
Surrounded by an immense feeling of solitude, that flirts with my heart in the darkness of the night; and it invites to dance to the slow beat of a tormented heart. We keep on traveling the most traveled road.
“The road of forgotten.”

Surrounded by an immense feeling of solitude.
Surrounded by concrete walls, where the voice of solitude is the only thing you hear.
Surrounded by one-thousand-and-one memories of the past.
Surrounded by one-thousand-and-one frustrated dreams — that are trapped in prison cells.
Surrounded by an immense feeling of solitude, that attacks my thoughts.
We keep walking through the valley of solitude.

Thoughts

By RD

Drowning not from water but from thought.

Can’t stop thinking, can’t stop from deep thought.

Sometimes I think too hard and make the situation worse

Sometimes I think so much,

the thing I started thinking about I forget what it is.

Like I can be thinking about bananas, but can be talking about my ears.

Trying to stay on subject but I’m thinking too much

So this poem I will leave incomplete,

But really…who cares!

By A.R.

So Beau, tell me is there in my acts of amour

That appears to your heart?

With no answers, still I try

My hand at a woman who seems almost forbidden

My own Helen of Troy so hard to allure

Vivid displays of emotion though still she ignores

Though still I try

My hand at a woman’s amour that seems almost forbidden

So many acts of betrayal, let downs

Still

I’ve always forgiven

Who am I but a gentleman to discern love from lust

So in a conniving feline still I trust

Disappointment, disappointment, over again

This game of hearts I strive to win

My dreams often occupied with visions of her

A mere sight of her beauty

Will cause hormones, emotions together to stir

But I awake to only welcome loneliness with a reluctant embrace

This solitude maybe has driven me crazy

I’ve ventured far past Rubicon

Endowed in acts that may capture her love, or lust?

Who knows?

Often I see we’re misled by desire on uncertain path

With lust for a love one should not have

Though I…I choose to bow out gracefully

Cherie amour though your beauty is undesirable

If you feel not for me then I try no more
