Most boys aren’t like me
I see what the blind see
Do you know what the blind sees?
I hear what the deaf hear
But do the deaf hear?
I feel what the emotionless feel
But I have no feelings for anything
So what am I doing on the edge of the bridge

Wow! Those first couple of lines – seeing what the blind see and hearing with the deaf hear, that’s powerful stuff! It’s very expressive.
I like how the poem opens with a contrast – “Most boys aren’t like me…” I would like to see that carried through to the end of the poem. What are more things that are different, what makes the author different from other boys?
I also want to know – what is it that the blind see? Nothing? Or something different? You could probably build an entire poem just out of that single line.
This is a really exciting poem that has a lot to say and also has a lot of potential. I can’t wait to see where this one goes! I liked it a lot.
This poem is very deep, and personal, and talks about a serious thing. Jumping off of a bridge is something nobody wants to hear and know of. It is sad reading about this because life isn’t treating you the way it should be. The best quote in this poem is “I feel what the emotionless feel but I have no feelings for anything.” I can almost feel how empty you are inside. Continuing to write will lead you to success!
That’s really deep and heavy. It sounds like you’re grappling with some intense emotions and thoughts. Remember, it’s important to reach out to someone you trust for support. You don’t have to go through this alone.
