Gift to Moms and Grandma

By MM

I wish I can give my mom my freedom
Walk out jail gates then I see them:
My grandma and my moms
Holding them in my arms
Heart racing, feeling alarmed
Mom cries tears of joy
Happy to see me, her oldest boy
Now I’m feeling real proud
To once again make them smile

    MM,

I am very touched by your poem and am able to find myself often having similar thoughts. Family is everything. They are the ones that pick us up when we are down at our lows and raise us up when we are at our highs. There is no greater pain than seeing a loved one suffer and there is no greater joy than seeing a loved one happy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I wish you nothing but peace and happiness in your days ahead.
