What I Would Have Done Differently

“Where you goin bro?”
“Don’t worry I’ll be back soon.”
“But you don’t want to get your a** whipped in this madness.”
“Naw bro I’m gonna be back to get you.”

    Short but powerful. The title of your poem provides so much context. I think it was an excellent choice. Your poem could read quite differently, if there were a different title. The poem itself, left me wanting more. What was the “madness” that occurred? You didn’t make it back? What happened to the person who was waiting? These unanswered questions for me, as the reader, is what added to the power of the poem.
