Today

By BG
I thank God
Today’s a new day
Kick it off with a few lines
As I pray
Another day, you let me see the daylight
10 went past
We was out like yesterday
Got my night light on in my cell
As I write away

    Dear BG,

Your poem is an excellent reminder that big things can be said in few words. You also reminded me to be grateful. I’ve read a few articles lately which promise that gratefulness leads to happiness.

I really appreciated your view of each day as new and how you addressed your moment in the sunlight.

Please keep writing. I would love to read more.

    Your fan,

    Rachael

    Dear BG,

I love the positivity and perspective. It’s easy to get stuck in the past, but your poem is a great example that the future is as bright as we choose to make it.

    Best,
    Greg

    Dear BG,

Your poem i belive has a lot of meaning. It is short but filled with what is most important. The fact that your troubles are unspoken, but you are still thankfully is very powerful. It teaches that no matter what be thankful for another day, another meal, another sight of daylight. Life has many details, triumphs, and concerns, but in the end no matter who you are, or where you are, remember to be thankful. It’s the simplest of things that people tend to not do. To stop and enjoy a moment of being alive in this beautiful world, and thank God for it.

    Thanks, Uriy
