To Daddy’s Little Girl
By: RD
You mean so much to me
And not just me, but to the world
What you mean to me
Is so sweet and unimaginable
That if you were to combine
All the seas into one as ink
And all the trees as pens
It wouldn’t dare compete

This is such a beautiful, heartfelt poem. I especially like the imagery of the seas and trees as ink and pens. I really hope that you can show this to your daughter someday to show her how much she is and has always been loved.
Hey, RD, it’s like the poem is in there somewhere, peeking out, but I can’t tell just what it looks like. For example: Is daddy writing this to his daughter?
And then there’s that big “IF YOU WERE…” which sets up something fantastic, but let’s you down with “it wouldn’t dare compete”. For what it’s worth, my vote is for you to keep working on it.
In any case, keep on writing.
