The Forgiveness
I forgive my dad for walking out on his only son
I forgive the people who think they get over
Because they assume I’m dumb
I forgive life for dealing me this hand
I forgive my inner boy for not becoming a man
I forgive the man who bumped me
Because he couldn’t see
I forgive…
I can’t forgive everything…
Because I’ve yet to forgive me…
Forgiveness starts with oneself. Once we’ve forgiven ourselves, we can forgive everybody else. Forgiveness isn’t hard, so the next time a situation calls for us to forgive, give it a shot.

You have really captured the essence of forgiveness, especially in those last few lines. It is when we DO NOT forgive ourselves and others that we are held down/back. Holding on to anger and resentment (especially toward our own self) is a sure way to keep ourselves from moving forward. Thanks for sharing!
keep doing ur best and keep ur hhead up
Woah! Words of wisdom.
Tough topic, but you certainly nailed it.
You hit on something very real and important. Sometimes we struggle the most to forgive ourselves. We define ourselves by our worst words, thoughts, and actions. I encourage you to give yourself grace so that you may extend it freely to others.

The poem hit the spot and showed how good of a heart you have. It is so special for you to forgive all of the people who have hurt you. It is very mature that you are aware of this and want to move on. Forgiving yourself is the hardest part, and it will take time. Remember to be patient and it will come. Great poem, I loved the style of the piece!
Hi! I love your poem. It was so very powerful. Forgiveness is one of the most important things a person can do. I have trouble forgiving people who have wronged me, but your words are so true. Forgiveness starts with you, if you can forgive yourself, you can forgive others. And maybe others could even forgive you. If you can forgive yourself, then nothing else matters. Stay true to who you are, forgive yourself. Live your life to the best you can.
