Lockdown

Lockdown is not cool
I don’t want to be on lockdown on 23-1
But it cool
I’m cooling down but lockdown make you think about a lot
And think about your freedom
And on lockdown you can have a free mind
And on lockdown you can be by yourself doin’ a lot of things
Sometimes I get mad ‘cause I can’t see my mother
So that’s why I like lockdown sometime…

you create a pretty clear image of your feelings in lockdown, free mind, thinking, freedom, and wishing to see your mother. It makes me want to read more.

I like the way you repeat the word “lockdown” – it shows the intensity of your feelings.
    Well done.

Thank you for your vulnerability! Sometimes being by ourselves helps us understand ourselves better. We must fight the solitude and use the silence to think and grow. Keep writing; we hear you!

An inspiring message about being alone and thinking/reflecting on life and peacefulness. This poem stuck out to me because we all just went through a lockdown where people didn’t know what to do with themselves!
Thank you for writing and I hope your lockdown is going okay! Best of luck!
