Life Lesson
By DJ
Life lesson of a world that calls at your name
The call of the streets
Nothing but a never ending road
Headed toward the wrong direction
Money was there
The power was there
But you never knew when death would call
So take it slow and move easy

Take it slow and move easy, and no matter how long you’ve been going down the wrong path, turn around. I like the juxtaposition of money and power with death, because the three can be so intertwined, although unfortunately death comes to most people before they find money or power. I guess that’s another life lesson.
Nice, DJ. The world calls your name; the streets call…. death calls. (!!) I think I know why the last line is there, but as a poem it hits harder without it.

Great poem DJ,
short and sweet and it really spoke to me with its message and meaning!
This poem is powerful and persuasive. Life is always throughing out lessons, its you that has to catch on and accept them. Don’t take everything for granted because you might only feel like this once. You never know when you will lose a loved one. You got this and remember the best is yet to come!
