What Do You Think Of?

By BM

When I wake up in this place
I wonder what you do when you wake up at home
I figure you wake up thinking about me
And count down the days until I come home

And after that you get ready for school
Still thinking about me in the process
And as you head out the door
You try and get yourself together
So you can have a good day
Sometimes it works
But most of the time it doesn’t
But you still get through the day
Still waiting on me to come home
So your worrying can end

That’s just a good idea I have
I really don’t know what you do
I think about what you’re doing at home
Could be different
If I had never made that stupid mistake
That led to me being in here
I know everything will be ok when I come home
Everything will be back to normal
The same fun we had before will continue
I care about what I do in life
I have other people to think about other than myself
Sometimes life is fair
Sometimes it’s not
That’s when you’re put to the test
To make the best of it no matter what
And never forget who you’re making the best of it for!
