Lonely Patients

By MS

Thinking hard, my thoughts keep on drifting to many things
Mostly that which I’m missing

Family, freedom, the touch of a lovely woman
A lot of thoughts bottled up but no one to listen

Trying hard to be patient throughout my trials & tribulations
But that can really be a test in my situation

Being all alone in a place so far from home
Waiting for something so close, but the wait seems so long

Just need someone to talk to and listen to my thoughts
But since I’ve been away, most people ran off

See, these are the times when reality is hard to face
But I know things will get better if I be patient and wait

    MS,

I imagine your world often feels lonely, but please know that some in the Free Minds community are here listening to you…and being impressed by the power of your words.

    My favorite part:

“Just need someone to talk to and listen to my thoughts
But since I’ve been away, most people ran off”

The language is pretty simple, but I really felt the second line. You really help us all to understand how lonely it must be to be locked up. It inspired me to comment and let you know that I’m here. I’m listening. I know you have it in you to survive this and come out stronger. Use poetry to keep your mind right.

One Note: Your title says “Lonely Patients” – I think you mean patience (which you have when waiting for something), not patients (which a doctor has at a hospital).

Keep writing, my man. Very impressive.
    – Mark
