Emotion

By SK

Sometimes I wish I was heartless
So I wouldn’t care
Use a black hole to replace the red muscle
So I won’t fear when you ain’t there
And I won’t have to struggle
I need the potion for no emotion
Or to put them in a bottle to go with the ocean
Don’t want to be happy—I’ll end up sad
Don’t want to feel alright—I’ll end up mad
Don’t want them—kick them out the door
What the H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks
I need emotion for?

    SK,
Starting a poem with “Sometimes I wish I was heartless” is an incredible way to start a poem. It immediately makes the reader think about what you are saying. Thank-you for writing this. Please keep writing. You clearly have really important things to say!

    Hey SK,
Think of it like this. It took great emotion to write this (which is positive) and without that emotion, you would not have the will power to write and articulate so well. I felt every line of this poem because it was so sentimental.
I cannot wait to see more of your work!

SK, great poem. Don’t be afraid to have emotions, that’s apart of being human and having morals. Stay strong and grow.
