Why Do We Attract

By SK

Life seems to revolve around you and your traits
Your reals, no fakes
Your persona, they hate
They say opposites attract
My negatives and your positives
When I have the answer
You’re where the problem is
Why do we attract?
Why do we lock eyes
For moments at a time
Whatever I lack
You got all the time
I lose sight of reality
At a glance of your beauty
At a whiff of your scent
Why do we attract?
Why are we in love?

Why do we find someone that we find attractive and we get to know we fall head over first into love?

I have felt this way myself so often! It’s great that you are able to explore the feeling. Have you been able to think of any reasons why you might be attracted to the opposite?

This is so beautiful. Your poem really made me smile. That’s the beauty of writing, communicating emotions without even being around. Thank you for such a wonderful poem!

Hey SK; I was thinking that if the “opposites” thing goes in both directions, then someone can look at you and see “whatever you got/ I lack.” Think so?
