It’s Your Life

By AM

It’s your life, live it to the fullest
It’s your life, make your plans for it wisely
It’s your life, think seriously about your future
It’s your life, place a very high value on it
It’s your life, set realistic goals and be dedicated to them
It’s your life, don’t play any games because you only get one on this earth
It’s your life, keep a good and positive outlook
It’s your life, I understand it is not easy at times but just hold on
It’s your life, no storm lasts forever
It’s your life, respect other people
It’s your life, keep reading books to empower your spirit and set your mind free
It’s your life, stay humble

    AM,
Wow, I really needed to hear this today. Thank you for sharing it. I found the repetition super effective in getting your message across. I especially loved the lines “no storm lasts forever” and “keep reading books to empower your spirit and set your mind free”. Keep writing, and way to be positive!

AM- Thank you for writing this! This is always a message that I need a reminder of. Like Rachel, I also really liked the phrase, “No storm lasts forever.” The language is very powerful- Often, it’s hard for me to remind myself of that in the moment. Look forward to more of your work!

This poem is very motivating in a very postive way. As a high school student sometimes we get off track and don’t remember what’s important and how what we decide to do now in our studies can and will affect our future. The phrase “It’s your life” has a bigger meaning and me personally i sometimes forget its my life and no one can help me be someone in life without the help of myself. This is very inspiring!!
